As a Professional Genealogist, I’ve received a Certificate in Genealogy Research from Boston University, completed Jill Morelli’s Certification Discussion Group, and Devon Noel Lee’s Genealogy Writing Course. I’m currently in the midst of the 14-month genealogical peer review course, ProGen as well as the National Genealogical Society’s (NGS) American Genealogical Studies Course (AGS). I’ve also taken countless mini seminars through genealogy conferences and enjoy several webinars a month to keep up with changes and discoveries in the industry and to hone my skills.
I’ve been researching family histories for more than 24 years. I have knowledge of some overseas records with a concentration in United States research and writing reports, family histories and biographies and currently own my own business, “Family Ties Research.” I’m familiar with book publishing and I’m able to assist with or create book projects for your family. I have extensive experience analyzing, proof reading and editing the works of others. I’m familiar with DNA and can assist on smaller projects on the subject.
I’m a member of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution and have recently agreed to take on the role of my chapter’s Historian. In addition, I’m a published writer of a book of my own original poetry and a children’s book, “Austin Loses a Tooth.” I have several other talents and hobbies including, but not limited to; being a DJ and MC, public speaking and creating crafts.
Thank you for your time. I look forward to assisting you with your project.
